lakeside stroll
I went for a walk at a nearby lake today ~ I was all prepared to listen to my Japanese MP3 lessons, but when I got there, the battery for my MP3 player died. Waaaaah! But I survived ^^

I still don’t have a tan.

I found this interesting recipe and whipped it up today ~ they are delicious and super easy to make.

For some reason, this $1 mini-Globe makes me really happy. I got it at Target today~
Maybe I really love it because I love to travel and I don’t have a big globe (though I had one as a kid). I like maps in general, so this is perfect to set on my desk. (^-^)b
YAY! I love thunderstorms and we’ve had five this week ~ and tonight, we’re having another one. ^^ I managed to catch this pic before the rain came…

hehehe ~ I stopped at this gas station today and was tickled that it’s called Loves and its logo is a giant heart (at the VA/NC border on I-95). My gosh, a gas station name has never made me happier. See, it just proves that little things can make us feel sparkly.

Here’s a big BeSparkly HOORAY for Loves!!
I pulled these from my garden today. I don’t like tomatoes, but aren’t they cute!? ^^

I was browsing for chocolate today and I found this lovely dark chocolate bar. The best part is that 10% of the net profits go to helping endangered species. How sparkly is that!? It’s two of my favorite things - chocolate and helping the animals.
The VERY best part is that this chocolate is DIVINE! Divine, I tell ya! It literally melted in my mouth and I had to hide it before I gobbled the whole bar down in one sitting (must save some for later).

I got mine in the fancy candy section at Target, so if you want your own…go there or check them out online at ChocolateBar.com.
By the way, they have different flavors of chocolate. I got the Supreme Dark Chocolate. *drools*
I was looking through some photo albums and found this picture of me when I was little (either 1979 or 1980). For some reason, this picture made me smile (probably because I’m the baby of the family and there are WAY MORE baby/kid pics of my older brother than me).

Look at my 70’s shoes! hahaha. Ah…and the bowl haircut… good times. (^-^)
A friend of mine sent me coffee from Kenya, Africa. Wahoo! How cool is that? It’s from a coffee house called Nairobi Java House which is located in Nairobi, Kenya.

I really enjoy the smoothness and soft undertones of citrus in this flavor (not entirely sure what flavor I have). It’s delightful and easy on the pallet. Some coffees are too tangy or too bold for me, but this one is just right. ^^
Here are some of the books I’m currently reading (or learning from).

Yes, I’m still tackling Harry Potter Book 5! I wanted to finish it BEFORE I saw the movie, but at the rate I’ve been reading it (for 1 year and 8 months) I think I will have to see the movie first. ^^
Thanks to my new Lonely Planet book about Seoul, I have learned about a love hotel called Jelly Hotel (but alas I have no one to love at the love hotel) and that the Korean word for yes is “ne” and the word for no is “anio.” Also, the word for Saturday is “toyoil.” Is it just me, or is it really that difficult to pronounce? *giggles*
