Chuck

Chuck on NBC ~ what a great surprise this new show is ~

Chuck on NBC

I haven’t kept up with the new TV season at all, but I DVR’d this show and love it!  Zachary Levi, who plays the main character Chuck, has beautiful eyes and a shy, geeky wit.  Then there is the leading lady, Yvonne Strzechowski, who plays Sarah - a kick a@@ CIA agent with stiletto heels and a wardrobe I’d die for.  Ah, my dreams of being a secret agent have awoken once again.  LOL

No worries, I won’t abandon BeSparkly to join the secret agent ranks, I’m much too lazy.  Anywho, if you get a chance, check it out on NBC.

In other BeSparkly news…I’ve completed the pyramid!!  Now I won’t post until October 1st…

a ~Charmed~ life

Posting everyday is really hard~ but my pyramid is almost complete, so I will find something to write about, even if it’s boring.

Oh! I know… I was on Charmed as an extra a couple of years ago (2005) and I found the episode online… so those of you who haven’t seen it, now you can! Here’s a pic of me on Charmed… so you know what to look for.

You can see me in the scene starting at minute marker 11:37.  Link to episode ^^

You can see me at 11:45-11:50, 12:34-12:36 and  at 12:39 I’m the only person on screen with the taxi driver.

sakasama 逆さま

My new favorite Japanese word is sakasama, which means “upside down.”  What a handy word!

Other than that, I have nothing interesting to post today.  I leave a week from today~  ^^

Coffee Prince

Okay, so I’m in a time crunch before my trip - working/packing/sleeping/mapping things - and I decided to watch a K-drama online.  In case you don’t know what a K-drama is, it is a Korean drama TV show.  They also have J-dramas for Japanese drama shows.  I’ve heard these dramas (not as off the wall as our soaps) are very addicting and well… I didn’t believe it.  I, however, was wrong!  They are addicting!!!!!!!!!!!  GAH~

So, the Coffee Prince drama has my attention and it’s cute and funny.  A girl who can pass for a pretty boy is the head of her household so she works like crazy to feed her shopaholic mom and wanna be singer-superstar sister.  In the midst of her dreary life, she crosses paths with a hunky guy who is rich, lazy and likes to have fun.  Long story short, he starts to fall for her - but he thinks she’s a guy! hahahahaha… and so the drama begins.

 Coffee Prince K-Drama

You can check it out with English subs on Youtube if you want, here’s a link to get you started.  Hey John, you might like this since it’s right up your alley and you like romantic comedies ~ ^^

Froggie Background

The first time I was in Japan (2004) I discovered a line of postcards with this adorable frog character on them.  I kinda forgot about them last time I went, but this time I will be sure to pick up more!  I made this one (which used to be on my fridge) into my screen background.  Mr. Froggie reminds me to travel and enjoy the world.  ^^

Be prepared for a post every day this week… my pyramid must be built!

Random Post

Here is a random post about nothing~

I found this pic of me from July on my computer and decided to post it today… mainly because I don’t have a picture for today ~ hahaha.  People have always said I have really big eyes, even the eye doctor said “you have really big pupils,” when I went for my Lasik back in April and I said “oh? Is that a compliment?” and he said “um, no.”  HAHAHAHA.  Oh well for me.  ^^

Countdown

I don’t have a pic to post today (how sad) but I’m trying to make a pyramid out of the white numbers (which are days that I post) in that fancy little Calendar box up on the left side of the page, so I have to post today and then everyday next week to pull of my feat-o-pyramid building.  I got skills.  XD

Anywho, here’s an update on my trip.
Countdown: 12 days

Cow Tales

Living in the South has its advantages ~ like these nifty little chewy caramel sticks called Cow Tales.  My mom said they’ve been around since she was a kid… but I just discovered them.  For only .25 cents a pop at the gas station, I’m ready for my next sugar high ~ ^^

I really like these because they have a vanilla flavored cream center and the caramel doesn’t get too sticky and stuck in your teeth.  It’s soft and chewy!

My nephews are totally getting these as stocking stuffers… ^^

Korean Book 韓国語本

Since I’ve never been to Korea (haha John) I bought this handy Korean book to help me out.  So far, I have learned the following words:

kamsahamnida - thank you
mianhamnida - sorry
anio - no
ne - yes
pi - rain
mashi isseoyo - delicious

Korean book - 韓国語本

Note: I’ve changed my departure to October 3rd ~ so the countdown is now 14 days!
