OMG! I’m so happy right now!! ^^

Amy sent me this adorable little Japanese style windowsill pot! You just add water and grass grows ~ it’s called Nyokki.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Amy! Not only does it incorporate that I love growing plants, but it’s Japanese! It really is the perfect holiday surprise.

I shall add pictures and updates as it starts to grow.

Ah, another Christmas Day has come. I am driving into the mountains to visit my grandmother today ~ my cell doesn’t get reception there and there’s no high speed internet. It’s a magical, technological free place where I can sit by the fire and think.

The view from my grandmother’s house ~ it’s literally through the woods and over the mountains to grandmother’s house I go ~ she lives on top of a mountain.

Yesterday was family Christmas ~ my nephews got gobs of toys while I partook in the lovely cookie assortment.

I got binoculars - so now I can see at all the concerts I go to - and some camera equipment from my brother. It was a happy day! I’m laying low on Christmas Eve then driving to see my grandmother on Christmas Day ~ what does everyone else have planned for the holiday?

Is there really a funnier holiday movie? I don’t think so! While A Christmas Story is an American classic, my favorite movie is Planes, Trains and Automobiles with the late, great John Candy and always hilarious Steve Martin (even though it is a Thanksgiving movie, I deem it a holiday movie). I probably like it because it’s a comedy, it’s about my favorite past time - traveling - and it’s all about them trying to get back to Chicago, my favorite American city and long time home (I miss you Chicago!)

It’s a shame I don’t own Planes, Trains and Automobiles on DVD… what’s wrong with me!? *laughs*

I hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas! I know I am. We are having family Christmas tomorrow with my nephews, so that will be fun. ^^

YAY for new finds!!

Yesterday, (December 10th) was the one year anniversary of my first BeSparkly blog post!  YAY!  Obviously, I forgot.  *laughs*  Oh well, no biggie.

I’m not quite sure what this little guy does other than take up space, but he amuses me and has become friends with the winter ladybug, Lily, and wooden artist’s model, Sho.  They hang out and stare at me while I work.  (^^)b

I think I’ll name him BotBot.

This was a total impulse buy, but isn’t it CUTE!?  I’ve named her Lily the Ladybug and you can wind her up and she waddles around ~ ha ha ha ha ~

She’s my little bit of summer brought inside for the winter. ^^

I put a new poll up on the Peabody page ~ *snickers*

The last poll was to see what day it would always be on the Peabody page and Thursday won with 38.8% of the votes.

December is upon us again and so are the holidays!  Hooray!!

I’ve updated the Sparkle Scopes for December on the main page and want to let everyone know that December 10th will be the first anniversary of BeSparkly ~ how very exciting!  So far, I have nothing planned *laughs*
