Since I couldn’t participate in Earth Hour on the 28th, I did my own private hour at home tonight from 8 to 9pm.  I turned off all the lights and read by candlelight.  I also unplugged all the electronics I could, minus the refrigerator and the DVR.  I turned the heat off and snuggled under a blanket.

I wish I could have done Earth Hour with the rest of the world, next year for sure!  Planet Earth fighting!!  (^_^)v

OMG, I wasn’t able to do Earth Hour at the allotted time Saturday because I was on set for a new TV pilot that is being filmed here in Richmond.  I am dedicated to the cause, however, so I am doing my own Earth Hour Monday night from 8pm EST to 9pm EST.

As for the TV show, it’s called Body Politic and since it’s a pilot, it isn’t on TV yet.  I was featured as a Congressional staffer ~ ooh la la ~ hahahaha.  That’s a fancy way to say I was an extra.  (^-^)

I just signed up for Earth Hour!  This upcoming Saturday (March 28th) I’ll be joining the millions of people from around the world that will turn off all my lights and I will unplug everything in my house, even the clocks! http://www.earthhour.org/

As part of BeSparkly’s commitment to the environment, I’ve also been unplugging my cell phone charger when it’s not in use and reducing water consumption by turning the faucet off when brushing my teeth or doing dishes.  A few simple changes in your daily life can mean the world of difference, spread the sparkle, BeGreen!

We got 11 inches of snow last night. I LOVE IT!

It’s apparently the biggest snowfall Virginia has had in nine years (I’ve only been here three years).

March is here!  And oddly enough, we’re having a blizzard tonight!!  We don’t usually get snow in this area, but it’s already about six or seven inches in about as many hours.  It’s like a winter wonderland.  I miss the snow in Chicago, but I’m glad I only have to get it once a year here, if even.
